About the Role
You will independently lead diverse projects in our Federal Government practice, spanning standard through to large and complex engagements. This includes client management, design of research materials, reporting, and presentation. You will also play a key role in developing strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for business growth, and contributing to the growth of the Verian brand.
Key Responsibilities
Winning work
- Lead complex proposals including identification and articulation of a unique selling point, design of an appropriate methodology to meet client objectives and budget and making a compelling argument for Verian as the preferred supplier.
- Able to design an appropriate methodology to meet clients’ objectives and budget and understands the broader issues impacting project scope and feasibility.
Brand Growth. - Proactively seeks opportunities to build the profile of Verian with a focus on the local market.
- Work with the Leadership Team to identify and activate opportunities.
Leading projects
- Manage client relationship throughout the project, leading discussions on approach, progress and client impact. Able to independently develop all materials required for data collection and brief the project team to ensure everyone understands the client’s needs and their role in the project.
- Manage any issues through the project finding solutions and where necessary advising the Leadership Team of any potential impacts on the business
Analysis and Reporting
- Can independently prepare a full report for complex projects including development of the ‘story’ report, implications and conclusions that address the client’s objectives. Able to create and deliver a concise and engaging presentation demonstrating insight against client objectives.
Managing client relationships
- Build strong client relationships that go beyond the delivery of the project in isolation. Understands the client’s world and what is impacting them, and how this may impact our work together.
- Able to identify growth opportunities and have proactive conversations with clients about them.
People Development
- Mentor and manage junior researchers providing regular feedback on performance, create a development plan, meet regularly to assess performance against development goals and KPIs.
About You
- 7+ years’ experience in the research and consulting industry
- Understand both qualitative and quantitative methods including analysis and moderation skills and how to utilise them appropriately to design a research program to meet client needs and budget
- Be able to draw conclusions from our evidence that address our client’s objectives
- Articulate insights (both in writing and in person / presentation) to provide clients with outcomes that meet or exceed expectations
- Present confidently to both internal and external audiences
- Possess strong commercial acumen that ensures they deliver profitable jobs that meet or exceed clients’ expectations
