We are looking for a Senior Research Executive or Research Manager with expertise in the design and analysis of experiments to join our award-winning Behavioural Practice. In this role, you will contribute to delivering online and field experiments, and other projects within our growing behavioural insights research and consultancy offer.

 

The Behavioural Practice brings together varied expertise – including behavioural economics and cognitive and social psychology; qualitative and quantitative research methods; creative and design; data analytics; communications consultancy and capability building – to deliver a full-service behavioural offer to UK Government. We advise clients on the opportunities for behaviour change at all stages in the policy cycle, providing insight into what influences individual and organisational behaviours, designing interventions and strategies for driving change, and trialling and evaluating interventions.

 

Our work involves some of society's most pressing issues, from online safety to education outcomes to net zero, and makes a real difference to the world we live in!

 

 

Your Responsabilities

 

The missions below relate to the Senior Research Executive role; a Research Manager would require greater experience in managing projects and clients, and delivering experiments.

 

  • Manage and support delivery of online and field experiments, of varying scales and speeds – designing and analysing experiments, managing tasks and costs, responding to client queries, developing outputs
  • Maintain efficient, profitable, high-quality project delivery – taking responsibility for project management, monitoring progress, pro-actively addressing challenges and maintaining quality
  • Contribute to reporting and presentations for varied audiences
  • Juggle multiple projects – proactively (with support) managing your own time and prioritising effectively
  • Participate in wider team activities across Verian in the UK and globally

Your Profile

 

  • Experience and skills in running experiments, in the context of behaviour change and/or behavioural science
  • Interested in Government behaviour change work – understanding behaviour, designing interventions and strategies for change, and trialling these to provide evidence of effectiveness
  • Strong organisational skills – confident in managing time and working both independently and within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent communication skills – preparing engaging, authoritative and insightful presentations at pace, and helping to deliver these
  • Strong writing skills – ability to work to short deadlines producing high quality drafts of written reports (or report sections) that will be published, and responding quickly to review comments
  • Ambitious, and interested in innovation and creative thinking – excited by learning curves and being challenged
