In Brussels, our Policy Research and Evaluation team has built a strong portfolio in areas such as disinformation, digital and social policy, consumer protection, youth, education and training, humanitarian aid, environmental behaviours, and public health.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Research Executive with proven experience in public policy research and evaluation, particularly in the field of digital and consumer policy. This is a key position within our Policy Research and Evaluation team in Brussels, which is expanding rapidly in response to increasing demand from EU institutions.
As a Senior Research Executive, you will take the lead on delivering high-quality evaluations, impact assessments, and policy studies. You will manage projects from design to delivery, engage with clients at the highest levels, and contribute to the strategic growth of our work in Europe.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team of social researchers, economists, statisticians, and evaluation specialists, all passionate about delivering insight that matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver complex, mixed-methods evaluation and policy research projects for EU and international institutions.
- Design methodologies and data collection tools (e.g., surveys, interview guides, mapping templates).
- Manage project teams and internal processes, ensuring high-quality deliverables are produced on time and on budget.
- Analyse and synthesise data from diverse sources, including literature reviews, administrative datasets, and primary research.
- Write clear, compelling reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
- Support new business development and strengthen existing client relationships.
- Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to capability building within the team.
- Proactively identify risks and challenges and implement mitigation strategies.
Your Profile
- You have a Master’s degree in Political Sciences, Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics or European affairs
- Experience in working on policy research and evaluation projects for EU institutions and agencies
- Excellent understanding of Better Regulation Guidelines;
- High level of autonomy in designing data collection tools (questionnaires, topic guides, mapping templates, etc)
- Experience in designing and managing primary data collection activities (e.g., quantitative surveys, qualitative research)
- Expertise in one of these policy areas: digital policy and consumer policy
- Highly organised with willingness to improve project management skills, and track record in supporting high quality projects
- Collaborative mindset and ability to delegate specific tasks
- Strong writing skills and PowerPoint design capabilities
- Great teammate, client centric
