About the role
We are looking for a Senior Operations Project Management Executive to join our Operations team in London. This role is central to delivering complex research and evaluation projects that drive meaningful social impact.
You’ll be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of projects, from set-up through to completion, ensuring they run on time, to budget, and to the highest standard. You’ll work closely with researchers, clients, and suppliers to bring projects to life and support our mission of delivering high-quality insight that informs public policy and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
- Lead on the operational delivery of multiple research projects, ensuring they are delivered to scope, timeline, and budget.
- Monitor and manage project schedules, identifying and escalating any risks or issues early.
- Oversee key operational elements of projects, particularly the data collection process, and seek efficiencies where possible.
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Contribute to project review and debrief processes, capturing learnings and driving continuous improvement.
Client and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as a point of contact for clients during project delivery, providing clear, solutions-focused updates.
- Support project leads in translating client needs into operational plans and deliverables.
- Participate in client meetings as needed to support project execution and clarify requirements.
Commercial Responsibility
- Support the accurate tracking of project budgets and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely completion of all financial administration tasks related to your projects.
- Help monitor commercial performance at the project level and highlight any risks to profitability.
Team & Process Leadership
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, supporting strong communication and a shared understanding of project accountabilities.
- Champion Verian’s best practice project delivery tools and methodologies (e.g., Delivering Great Projects).
- Help develop and support the skills of junior team members through knowledge sharing and actionable feedback.
Requirements
- Experience: Solid experience in operations or project management, ideally in research, insight, or a data-driven environment.
- Organisation & Delivery: Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to foresee challenges and manage risk effectively.
- Communication: Clear and effective communicator, comfortable engaging with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
- Team Player: Collaborative, motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality work as part of a team.
- Technical Know-How: Familiarity with project tracking tools, budget reporting, and managing third-party suppliers is a plus.
