About Us
Verian is New Zealand’s leading social research and advisory company. We are three-time Supreme award winners at the NZRA Effectiveness awards and gold winner at ESOMAR’s global awards. We combine deep local knowledge with global expertise to deliver high-quality social research, policy evaluation, and insights that inform government decision-making.
Our projects help agencies understand complex social issues – from health and wellbeing to education, transport, physical activity, environmental change and so much more. We’re trusted to deliver the evidence that drives public good.

You’ll:
- Support the design and execution of quantitative research projects
- Develop survey instruments and sampling frameworks that produce robust, defensible data
- Analyse and interpret datasets using tools such as R, SPSS, or Q (experience with multivariate or advanced statistical analysis is preferred)
- Turn complex results into clear, meaningful insights that influence public policy
- Contribute to client reports, presentations, and data visualisations
- Help ensure research is delivered to a high standard, on time and within scope.
About You

- Positive and proactive – you’ll jump at opportunities to help or to learn something new.
- A curious, capable thinker with strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Experienced (through study or work) in using Q, SPSS, R or similar tools – an interest in or experience in multi-variate analysis would be advantageous
- Passionate about social impact, behaviour change, and public policy
- A clear and confident communicator—both written and verbal
- Organised and detail-oriented, with a knack for juggling multiple priorities
- Creative and solution-focused, always ready to bring fresh ideas to the table
Why Join Us
