About Verian
Verian is an independent research company with a clear purpose: to provide robust evidence that supports decision-making in public policy and delivers real social impact. We work with public administrations and institutional clients on high-profile research projects, combining technical expertise, advanced methodology, and a strong commitment to quality.
About the project
We are recruiting two Questionnaire Reviewers to join a large-scale, institutionally commissioned socio-economic survey, conducted in households nationwide. This is a technically complex project in which ongoing questionnaire review during fieldwork is essential to ensure the quality, consistency, and integrity of the data collected.
The role offers remote working, a high level of autonomy, and continuity within the project, following an initial pilot phase.
About the role
Successful candidates will join an experienced team already working on this study, ensuring a smooth onboarding process with close support from day one.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting a full review of all completed interviews using dedicated survey review software.
- Overseeing a fixed group of interviewers, acting as their technical point of contact for questions and issues arising during fieldwork.
- Identifying errors, inconsistencies, or opportunities for improvement in questionnaires, ensuring correct data editing and integration.
- Carrying out occasional telephone re-contacts with respondent households to clarify or correct information, in line with procedures defined by the internal team and the client.
- Maintaining continuous coordination and communication with the client-side review team.
Candidate profile
We are looking for detail-oriented individuals with a high level of analytical rigour, who meet the following criteria:
- Strong analytical and methodological skills for working with detailed socio-economic data.
- Availability and confidence to conduct telephone re-contacts with households when required.
- Knowledge of and/or strong interest in economic and financial topics will be highly valued.
- Confident use of standard IT tools (Microsoft Office), including intermediate-level Excel, and ability to learn project-specific software.
- Desirable: Proven experience in reviewing complex questionnaires or in survey editing / quality control processes.
Working conditions
The project will start with a pilot phase in June 2026, designed as a key practical and training stage:
- Approximate duration: 4 weeks
- Working time: 40 hours per week
- Includes 4 days of face-to-face training in Madrid, delivered by the client
All participants must successfully complete the pilot training and be validated by the client. Successful completion of this phase is required to join the main study team.
The main study will run for approximately 8 months, split into two phases: from early September to 23 December (including additional in-person training), and from 7 January to 31 May.
We offer:
- Full-time remote contract (40 hours per week)
- Company-provided laptop and mobile phone
- Productivity and quality-based bonus
