About the team
The Interviewer Delivery team plays a vital role in delivering the high-quality research that underpins Verian’s work.
Our interviewers speak directly with people and communities across the UK, collecting the information and insights that help our clients understand people’s experiences, views and behaviours. The quality of this work is fundamental to the research we deliver.
As a Regional Field Coach, you’ll be part of the team supporting our interviewers to do their best work. You’ll build relationships with interviewers across your region, provide coaching and feedback, support training and help maintain high standards of quality in the field.
It’s a practical role where you’ll combine coaching and development with hands-on fieldwork, working closely with Regional Managers and colleagues across Interviewer Delivery to support successful project delivery.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Regional Field Coach to support and develop interviewers across the Doncaster region and wider Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
This is a hands-on, field-facing role where you’ll help interviewers build their skills, confidence and performance. You’ll provide practical coaching and feedback, support training activity and work closely with Regional Managers to maintain quality and consistency in fieldwork delivery.
You’ll be a key point of contact for interviewers, helping them understand project requirements, develop their interviewing skills and overcome practical challenges in the field.
You’ll also carry out interviews where required, including complex, specialist and recovery assignments. This means you’ll stay closely connected to fieldwork and understand the challenges and opportunities faced by interviewers.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, developing others and making a practical difference to quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting Interviewers
- Build strong relationships with new and existing interviewers
- Coach and support interviewers to improve quality, confidence and performance
- Provide constructive feedback and identify development needs
- Help interviewers feel supported, valued and connected
- Use quality, productivity and engagement information to identify where additional support may be needed and target coaching activity effectively
Training & Development
- Support training sessions and briefings for new and existing interviewers
- Deliver one-to-one and small group coaching activities remotely and in the field
- Help interviewers understand and apply project instructions accurately
- Share best practice and support continuous learning and development
Fieldwork Support
- Conduct interviews where required, including specialist and recovery assignments
- Support reissues and challenging fieldwork cases
- Help address practical fieldwork issues and barriers to successful delivery
- Provide operational insight and feedback from the field to support continuous improvement
Quality & Standards
- Carry out quality checks and field observations
- Promote adherence to company, client and industry quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and actions taken
- Support continuous improvement in fieldwork quality and interviewer performance
Regional Coordination
- Work closely with Regional Managers to share insights and identify support needs
- Attend team meetings and contribute to operational planning
- Promote consistency and continuous improvement across Interviewer Delivery

Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in fieldwork, training, coaching or people development
- Ability to support, guide and motivate others
- Strong communication skills, including giving clear and constructive feedback
- Able to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Comfortable using digital tools for communication, training and reporting
- Willingness to travel extensively across your region and work flexibly when required
Desirable
- Experience in quality assurance, operational delivery or supporting a geographically dispersed workforce
- Knowledge of social research fieldwork and survey operations
- Experience using performance or quality information to support coaching and development activities
