About the Role

 

This role has been created to support a transformation within our People team. As we evolve how we work, you'll play a key part in ensuring a smooth transition and continued, high-quality support to our teams in our Amsterdam office. You will work at our office in Amsterdam within a young, open and enthusiastic team with more than 30 colleagues.

 

As HR Advisor, you'll provide hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle, offering practical guidance on policies and employee relations, and playing an active role in key processes during the transition period. 

In addition, you will be involved in a number of strategic tasks, such as preparing the Dutch organisation for the new pension system.

 

Reporting to the People & Culture Director, UK & Europe, you'll also work closely with the Head of People Operations to support the transition of activities to our HR Services Hub. 

 

 

This is a part-time role (1.5 days per week), offered on a 8-month fixed-term contract.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Provide day-to-day HR support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes and leavers
  • Offer practical guidance to managers and employees on policies and Dutch employment law
  • Ensuring that we are prepared for the new pension system
  • Support the process towards a new employee handbook
  • Manage routine employee relations matters (e.g. absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance), escalating more complex cases as needed
  • Ensure HR records, documentation and processes are accurate and compliant with Dutch legal requirements
  • Support HR administration, including payroll inputs and hiring processes (contracts and onboarding)
  • Work closely with the Head of People Operations to document processes and support the transition of activities to the HR Services Hub
  • Help build the HR Services Hub’s capability by sharing local expertise and developing templates and guidance

 

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • 4–5 years’ experience in a broad HR Generalist role in the Netherlands, ideally within a multinational environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Dutch employment law and employee relations
  • Comfortable in a hands-on, delivery-focused role
  • Able to work independently, and manage priorities
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English
