Are you interested in joining a team who will contribute to shaping Government policy, understanding people and communities and having an impact on society? Do you want to join a graduate scheme where you can gain research and project management skills with a global, forward-thinking organisation?
Verian is a leading social research agency, working with governments, charities, universities and other public sector organisations to inform public policy decision making.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic Graduate Research Executives to join our team.
What do we offer?
Our 12-month programme will see you gaining exposure to a variety of clients, research approaches (e.g., quantitative, qualitative) and specialisms (e.g., policy evaluation, behavioural science, data analytics). You will work across the project lifecycle and maybe supporting questionnaire development, qualitative interviewing or working with data and preparing reports.
With this responsibility comes extensive support and training. There will be a combination of ‘on the job’ learning, as well as formal training with your peer group and others across the organisation. Training in your first year will cover technical research skills, project management and working with clients as well as professional skills such as influencing, communication, commercial acumen and taking charge of your own personal development. You will be part of a small cohort of graduates within Verian’s London office and will have an extensive support network.
You will receive a salary of £30,000 per annum, 25 days holiday, a contributory pension and several flexible benefits. By the end of the year, we expect our graduates will be ready to progress into one of our research teams as Research Executives.
Who are we looking for?
You will likely be a great fit for this role if:
- You are curious about what and how people think and are excited to contribute to projects which impact society
- You like to work with data – in all its forms – with strong attention to detail
- You enjoy planning and coordinating projects and demonstrate excellent time management
- You are ready to take on responsibility and to work collaboratively as part of a team, using your strong communication skills
- You are always looking for opportunities to do things in a better way
All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK, with fluent written and spoken English. We would expect candidates to have a 2.2 or above, at least 120 UCAS points and GCSE, or equivalent, Maths & English at a minimum grade B. However, if you are enthusiastic about a career in social research and your academic experience does not fit this requirement exactly, please get in touch with Meliane.Mel@veriangroup.com.
